Doug Shields Engineering, LLC, is a hydraulic engineering firm based out of Oxford, Mississippi that offers consulting, review, planning, data analysis, and design for stream restoration and river environment projects. Doug Shields Jr. started the company in early 2012, and has been located at Insight Park the past three years. Since then, the business has been involved in projects all over the country. Projects include contributing to stream restoration manuals for nationwide use, reviewing water management efforts in the Russian River watershed, expert witness assignments and prototype-scale laboratory testing of biotechnical engineering treatments at Colorado State University.
